beautiful words, june

It's holding tight, lettin' go
It's flying high and laying low
Let your strongest feelings show
And your weakness, too
It's a little and a lot to ask
An endless and a welcome task
Love isn't something that we have
It's something that we do
~ Something That We Do, Clint Black

beautiful words, may '20

People call me a winner
But I know what it means to lose
I've seen some high times
I've paid some dues
Payin' dues just isn't enough
Nothin' seemed to satisfy me
Until I met Jesus
I tell you, He's alive
And I am free.

Now I'm singin' a new song
Makin' music for Jesus my King
He is my hero
He's become my everything
Now there's no other song
No higher melody
Under heaven, the greatest love story
Jesus and me...

~Jesus and Me, Glen Campbell

So, I've always loved Glen Campbell and his music. But I've recently decided that he is my favorite singer, second only to Randy Travis. Glen's country music is sooo beautiful, but guys. His gospel? *ok sign* You can HEAR  his sinserity in his voice as he sings about how he's "singing a new song". it's B E A U T I F U L <3

happy may, people!

beautiful words, march '20

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

Happy March!

beautiful words, february '20

Can't see it with your eyes, hold it in your hand
But like the wind it covers our land
Strong enough to rule the heart of any man
This thing called love

It can lift you up, it can let you down
Take your world and a' turn it all around
Ever since time nothin's ever been found
Stronger than love

Thing Called Love by Ed Ames

Happy February,folks! The love month! <3

beautiful words, januray '20

This raging world can get so overwhelming
Looking for a meaning when it won't make sense
In my head it's getting loud like I can't outrun this cloud
No matter where I go well there I am

So I walk down to the river
Where the troubles, they can't find me
Let the waters there remind me
The sun will be there when we wake
I walk down to the river
Though I might not understand it
It's not always as we planned it
But we grow stronger when we break

"This is my favorite time of year, just before the holidays start. I love that feeling when everything is new, that anything can happen feeling"

Beautiful Words || September '18

pic found on pinterest

Time is passing.
Yet for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September 11th.
We will remember every rescuer who died in honor.
We will remember every family that lives in grief.
We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls,
the funerals of the children.

Beautiful Words || August '18

For beautiful eyes, look for good in others;
for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and
for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

Although I deeply love the oceans, deserts, and other wild landscapes,it is only the mountains that beckon me with that sort of painful magnet pull to walk deeper into their beauty.

Yesterday is history

Tomorrow is a mystery

And today is a gift,

that's why we call it

"On My Way"
Phil Collins

Tell everybody I'm on my way

New friends and new places to see

With blue skies ahead, yes I'm on my way

And there's nowhere else that I'd rather be

Tell everybody I'm on my way

And I'm loving every step I take

With the sun beating down

Yes, I'm on my way

And I can't keep this smile off my face

'Cause there's nothing like seeing

Each other again

No matter what the distance between

And the stories that we tell will make you smile

Oh it really lifts my heart...

P.S. just 8 days and I'll be on my way to NH!

Beautiful Words || April '18

Piglet sidled up to
 Pooh from behind.
 "Pooh!" he whispered.

                        "Yes, Piglet?"

"Nothing," said Piglet,
  taking Pooh's paw.
   "I just wanted
  to be sure of you"

Behind The Clouds

Brad Paisley

When you're feeling lonely, lost and let down
Seems like those dark skies are following you around
And life's just one big shade of gray
You wonder if you'll see the light of day

Behind the Clouds, the sun is shining
Believe me, even though you can't quite make it out
You may not see the silver lining
But there's a big blue sky waiting right behind the clouds

I've heard it said that this too shall pass
Good times and bad times, neither one lasts
But thinking that your luck won't ever change
Is like thinking it won't ever stop once it starts to rain

Behind the clouds, the sun is shining
Believe me, even though you can't quite make it out
You may not see the silver lining
But there's a big blue sky waiting right behind the clouds

Yeah, there's a big blue sky waiting right behind the clouds

F R I E N D S H I P
by DINAH MARIA MULOCK CRAIK

Oh, the comfort -- the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person,

Having neither to weigh thoughts,
Nor measure words -- but pouring them
All right out -- just as they are--
Chaff and grain together--
Certain that a faithful hand will
Take and sift them--
Keep what us worth keeping--
And with the breath of kindness
Blow the rest away.

Each For the Other
{hymn}

Darling, the day has come
that we've been dreaming of
When at the alter white
we'll say our vows of love

Oh what a happy time
all gone the doubt and fear
And with the promises
we'll add this one my Dear

Each for the other
and both for the Lord
Oh, Darling Sweetheart
Let the angels record;
Vows sweetly spoken
may they never be broken;
Each for the other
and both for the Lord

We'll walk together, Love
through sunshine, through the shade
We'll mingle tears and smiles
and travel unafraid

Halos of happiness will crown
each passing day
Till heaven shines ahead
and beckons us away

Each for the other
and both for the Lord
Oh, Darling Sweetheart
Let the angels record;
Vows sweetly spoken
may they never be broken;
Each for the other
and both for the Lord

Beautiful Words || December {feat. my favorite hymn}

Blest Be the Tie

Blest be the tie that binds
Our heart in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like to that above

Before our Father's throne
We pour our ardent prayers;
Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one
Our comforts and our cares

We share our mutual woes
Our mutual burdens bear;
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear.

When we asunder part
It gives us inward pain;
But we shall still be joined in heart
And hope to meet again.

So, this is the last "Beautiful Words" post of the year.
And I need you guys to vote! Should I do them again in 2018?

Beautiful Words || November

L I N E S    T O    A    S E A S O N
by Louis L'Amour

How quietly the year has passed away
Into that nothingness from whence it came,
And now the slowly drifting days are gray
Like powered ashes near a dying flame;
The maple trees bewail their fallen crown
And autumn trails away like at dawn ---
The grass has faded to a dusty brown,
And I am lonely for a summer gone.

Each sunset tinted leaf is like a day
Blown from the tree of unrelenting years,
Leaves fall, and flowers die, lives float away,
And we are bitter now, with unshed tears.
A dying sun is setting through the gray ---
How quietly the year has passed away!

I find this beautifully sad. Louis L'Amour has a way of doing that. I can't even begin to explain how beautiful this is <3

Beautiful Words || October

Love grows best in little houses

With fewer walls to separate

Where ya eat and sleep so close together

You can't help but communicate

Oh and if we had more room between us

Think of all we'd miss

Love grows best

In houses just like this

~Little Houses, Doug Stone

I love my family, I'm not gonna lie.
We live in a small house, where privacy pretty much isn't a thing.
And sometimes I want to scream.
When I think of our big house where we lived for seven years, I get lonely for my home.
The place where I could hid from the world whenever I wanted.
But when it really comes down to it.
I'm thankful for our small 1948 house. True, I dream of building a new house cause this one is falling down around our heads and washing dishes by hand gets annoying and having my bedroom in the garage gets annoying and having only one bathroom gets annoying.
But the size of our house has brought us closer together as a family. And I wouldn't trade that for our mansion we once lived in.

This little 1948 house and I are going to miss our biggest sis. <3

Beautiful Words || September

i want to live

without life feeling meaningless

life I'm not afraid

where i can love freely

how people will see the real me

with total abandon

like there's a burning purpose

where i'm a free spirit

and can laugh with joy

with undoubting assurance

like i'm a princess

where human opinion doesn't matter

without regrets holding me back

like i'm overflowing

how God intended

P.S. Life has been crazy, and I can't figure out how to get the Q&A video in my post, so I'm just gonna have to type out all my answers. Which might take a while, with this crazy life I have right now. But it will be coming, at some point. Someday. *winks*
