Independence Day || Twenty-Twenty {photo dump}
Heyyyyy!!!!!!
I know, I didn't do a June Wrap-up. And, I know, I didn't do a July beautiful words (but I DID on Instagram: @walkinginthesonshine). Life has been... nuts. To say the least. So, I haven't really had anything to say to you guys.
BUT
I had a wonderful Fourth of July, and I wanted to share it with you! Like a blog post I used to do. Back in the day. Back when I first started blogging.
So. Let's pretend I'm sixteen again, and write this blog spot:
The morning of the fourth my sisters and I got up pretty early to get ready for a hike we were planning to go on with some cousins and the aunts. We met up at my cousin's in-laws house, then car-pooled to the mountains. Since it was only us girls going, we didn't have any vehicles that could make it all the way to the parking lot, so we had to start at a lower trail-head - which I had no idea was even a thing xP
This is a hike that I hadn't done since Felicity and Josiah were dating, and that time it took me, like, six hours (I have to rest a lot *hides*), so I was afraid it would take me a long time, but we made pretty good time, considering.
It was a cloudy morning, so we were in the clouds most the time and didn't get to see the view, but it was still a VERY PRETTY hike. <3 And I got to pick wildflowers, which was something on my summer bucket list. May be a strange thing to put on a summer bucket list but whatever *shrugs*
At the top ^^^^ where we ate lunch
After that hike, I was deeeaaaadddd *laughs* we went back to where we had left our car and went home, to get ready for the evening gathering at my aunt and uncle's. On the way home we stopped at a coffee shop and I got a Triple Chocolate Milkshake with an espresso shot. SOOO GOOD. Idk why I didn't take a picture of that... or my car. Because we had decorated my car and filled the back seat with balloons and flags <33333
I ended up having to take some advil, I was THAT sore from hiking. I couldn't even stand! But, by the time we headed to my aunt and uncle's I was feeling a lot better.
It was a lovely gathering, with great food, and some pretty cool fireworks. <3
By the time we left the gathering it was 11-ish. We drove down to the town and drove around there for a bit, where pretty much EVERYONE was setting off fireworks. Rolls the windows down and listened to them, as well as watched. It was so cool.
And that was the end of an amazing Independence Day!
How was YOURS!? What did you do!? Also, how have you been? I life has been crazy for a lot of people!

Photo Dump || June & July '18
Well. It's been a lonnnngggg time since I've done a photo dump.
But it's not my fault - it's summers. Summer is keeping me so busy, I don't have time - or the heart - to sit down and do a blog post. You're lucky if I take the time to read other blog posts and comment. I guess it's just the laziness of summer that has come over me.
But I'm here now. To do a June AND July photo dump. Both together, because I haven't done June's yet, and now July is coming to an end. And things are starting to happen around here, so I wanted to get this done before it gets too crazy. We're having a Warnke Family reunion next weekend. My aunt and uncle flew in today (the only ones that live so far away they have to fly). Felicity and Josiah fly in Saturday! EEP! My sista is COMING SOOOOOOOONN!!!! XDXDXDXD
But enough squealing -
also, a friend is coming to town, and I'd like to do stuff with her.
So, lots of family stuff happening. Tonight my Great-Aunt who now lives in SC is coming over for supper...
Isn't summer wonderful? *sighs*
I am LOVING it. Despite the burn bans, the brown grass, the 90-degree weather with no AC... guys, I have a pool. The sun is shining. My sister is coming. The entire Warnke family is going to be together again for the first time since Grandma died in 2007... how can this not be wonderful???
ANYWAY.
I should probably do the photo dump now xP
J U N E:
Ok so, remember back in June I was actually still in New Hampshire. But of course this photo dump doesn't start till after I got home *winks*
Rocky's Pizza to celebrate being home *winks*
A Sunday stroll through childhood places <3
Only six days after being home, I went to the dentist for an "emergency appointment" because one of my wisdom teeth was trying to come in and was causing me a lot of pain. Because that tooth was already pretty much in, they just pulled it right then. Turns out I needed all three out - yes, three. I only had three wisdom teeth!
So we scheduled another appointment to get the other two out.
For a couple days after getting my tooth pulled I could only eat ice cream... I thought that was too long. But that was before I got my other two teeth surgically removed. *shudders at the memory*
back when we had a million kittens... we still have two that need homes. Want one? *winks*
our goats are really cute <3
running errands in town
First Arrowhead since getting home <3 (pretty sure it was my last too... I WANT)
When you run in the store to buy an iced tea and come out with a new dress *facepalm*
would you believe me if I told you that isn't beef... it's deer xP
a lot of my time in both June and July was spent up at my grandpa's property, helping get it ready for the family reunion
heading to - guess where - Grandpa's property xP
J U L Y:
Baby Leah getting lots of love after church <3
last restaurant meal before getting my teeth yanked out *winks*
When your six year old cousin gets your cup for you <333333333
And this was the day I got my teeth taken out. Do I look nervous? I was scared to death.
I didn't have to get put out, but I can't decide if that was a good or bad thing. I hated sitting there, knowing they were cutting me, and yanking teeth out. Bleh
Recovery was MISERABLE. just take my word for it.
a week of eating close to nothing. pain. stitches in my mouth. I couldn't brush my teeth.
And I threw up from the pain meds on the Fourth of July! So you can imagine how my Fourth of July went... *shudders* SO glad that's all over!
but by the end of the day I was feeling a little better and I did somewhat enjoy the fireworks!
frozen yogurt at the mall <3
Heading to the eastern side of the state for church Conventions!
Services actually started Thursday morning, but we didn't head up till after lunch and it's a four hour drive. *winks* Though we did get there in time for the evening services, I didn't go. Just chilled at Auntie and Uncle's till time for the youth gathering.
one of the first things I did when we got to Auntie and Uncle's house - used their coffee bar <3
the view as we headed to the youth gathering. The desert is such a beautiful place <3333
the only picture I got at any of the three nights that the youth gatherings were held! I was just too busy living in the moment I guess.
I didn't get many pictures of the weekend in general now that I think about it.
But it was a great weekend! Staying up late at the youth gatherings. Getting up early for morning services. Skipping afternoon services to run around town or nap at Auntie and Uncle's. Back to the Trac center for evening services. Eating supper there, and then it was back "home" to change and head to yet another youth gathering. It was AMAZING <3333
though I was EXHAUSTED by the end of the weekend *laughs*
got Gelato one time when we skipped afternoon services <3
Iced tea <3
sneaking pictures during services shhhhhh (don't worry, it was actually during a song, not a sermon *winks*)
the meals at Conventions were *ok sign* <3
just had to share this one because Kaaren is way too adorable! (and growing up way too fast. tell her to stop! remember how little she once was?)
and then I rode back home with my parents. It was a blessed weekend for sure <3
stopped for lunch on the way home
AND LOOOOOKKKK!!!!! A BED!!!!! a real bed!! My daddy made it for me! and my mom got us bedding and now I feel like I have a real room!! eep!!!!
