H E L L O !
If you are reading this, then you are a true one, because that means you have found my new blog address! I have had to tweak my blog address just a bit, so if you are here, then you must be amazing! (or you're a creepy stalker, in which case, could you please leave? thanks xP)
I think spring is finally here to stay, Which is lovely because summer is fast coming. Tomorrow is the first of June, my baby sister is finishing up her last year of school, and next week we leave to South Dakota for Chancy and Brynna's wedding. N E X T W E E K . um, what? How did that come so fast!? I am not ready - but I keep telling myself that as long as I have the things I need for the wedding: my bridesmaid dress and my shoes, nothing else matters and ready or not, here it comes! Oh yeah, I am standing in the wedding!! I am so excited! Also singing in it too. *hides* my great-Grandma wrote a song for my Grandma when she married my Grandpa. My parents had it in their wedding. My sister had it in her wedding. And now Brynna has asked me and my sisters to sing it in her wedding. This is nothing I've ever done before, and therefore am very nervous. But I just keep telling myself that I am singing my Grandma's song in my brother's wedding and I'll do it with pride. Here's hoping I don't swoon, lol.
Life has been. Just a lot. Let's put it that way. So much is happening in my life, and some of it I can't share right now. But it's about to get insane, people. Insane. And it HAS been insane. Sometimes it feels like I'm drowning. Like it's all just too much. Too much is happening at once. Too much has already happened. But I know we'll make it through. And I am looking forward to sharing some of the exciting things with you, and taking you along with me on the adventures to come.
A lot of the stuff going on in my life is hard. Really hard. At one point I really thought I would never be able to get out of bed again. I wanted to just lie down and give up. I told Brynna that all I wanted was a hug from her. The next day, you won't believe what happened! I was writing in my fresh, new diary, getting ready to dive into all the reasons I had to be depressed, when guess who walked in - the Lady B, herself!! I really was sooo shocked, I just stood there trying not to cry. And then I got my hug. And you know what? It really did help. I think we really need to learn to say, "I need a hug" because hugs are truly amazing and help more than you know. So hug that person who looks sad. Ask for a hug when you need one.
Tell them that you love them.
Hug them.
Say "I miss you" even when they're just down the road.
Call them just to say hear their voice.
Because there's no shame in showing that you care.
It's the little things like that that build us up.
You never know when that smile or shoulder pat will save a life.
And never stop praying for them.
God's truly got this.
