Wow. We already have lived two months of 2018. Anybody else in shock here?
This week is the first week that has been semi "normal" since Felicity got married. February was full of things that don't normally happen. And I was crazy stressed, and sad, and annoyed at life. But all's good now. *winks*
It's just that we had problems with our septic. It snowed. I couldn't work. We couldn't clean the house. Or ourselves. We were driving to my aunt and uncle's to use their shower and wash clothes, but then the snow came and I wasn't brave enough to even ride with someone else driving. Roads here get super bad when it snows. BUT GUYS THE SNOW IS GONE. our septic is fixed. I was able to work. and everything is a-okay. Except Felicity is still 3,000 miles away and May 23rd still isn't tomorrow.
PHOTO DUMP:
a trip to Famous Dave's for lunch. On Josiah and Felicity's last day here. That night we had to say goodbye, and I won't deny crying myself to sleep.
(this picture is actually from when we went to Cabela's back in January, but we can pretend it was from when we went to Famous Dave's. *winks*)
Liberty got a puppy! Meet Lottie Joy. *grins*
here I am sitting in a coffee shop, chatting with Natasha, for the last time. She left a couple days later.
and then began the crazy weeks of cleaning almost nonstop. *wipes sweat*
after work snack. <3
started watching this show. I've always wanted to. And I'm loving it. <3
coffeeeeeeeee <3333333
here is me before I cut my hair. (you'll have to scroll down a bit to find the after picture)
went out for LaKaysha's birthday with a couple friends/cousins from the east coast. <3
and the planning begins. I'm not sure I know how to plan/pack/shop for a trip without Felicity, but we shall try.
randomly spent a weekend at Marissa and Marita's place. just cause we can. (both me and LaKaysha went)
walked to the library and local coffee shop while staying that the aunts'. But I didn't get any coffee. so sad.
wellllll... I mean I didn't BUY any coffee *winks*
*giggles*
and there's the chair I sleep on while staying there. It's actually no that uncomfortable. *winks*
coffee. need I say more?
Valentine's Day breakfast. <3
bet you can't guess how I spent my Valentine's Day? Cleaning windows. What else is new?
And I came home, tired and hungry. This really hit the spot.
After I cut my hair ^^^^
It started to snow. But we still decided to go visit the aunts' (let's just get this straight - when I say "the aunts" I mean Marissa and Marita) after church. We had a good time playing phase 10 and eating good food. But then the snow started really coming down. So we headed home earlier than we had planned, and... the roads were very sketchy. We fishtailed once, and took it really slow. My brother hasn't had his license long, and driving in the snow isn't something we're used to. But we got home. Safe and sound. We all let out the breath we didn't know we were holding when we pulled in our driveway. We all agreed that if we hadn't left when we did, we wouldn't have made it.
So I drink a lot of coffee. *shrugs*
We got way more snow than this. and I hated every inch. (this was during the time our septic wasn't working and I got super stressed because of that and the snow)
but food is good. *winks*
starting to get cabin fever and all that beautiful stuff that comes with stress, me and LaKaysha walked to the park to take pictures.
I love my little town <3
fogged up windows because it was that cold
and then the septic just got worse. So, my dad drove me and LaKaysha to the aunts and there we stayed for the weekend - again. But this time it wasn't "just cause". But we managed to have fun with our forced-vacation from home. (my other two siblings stayed at my aunt and uncle's while my parents stayed home and tried to fix the septic) I brought some muffins that Liberty had made. That's what this picture is of. *winks*
And some more snow fell. *moans*
but the main roads were clear enough for us to join the fam at our favorite pizza place, to see my aunt and uncle who live seven hours away. (I can't believe they drove down in that weather, the brave people)
after pizza, we headed "home" (M+M's) and waited there for my grandpa to come pick us up and take us to my aunt and uncle's where everyone was gathering to visit Mikey and Missy some more. Marita's car never would've made it up. And that's why my grandpa was a darling and picked us up. Also brought us "home".
Back at the aunts for the night, we watched "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and I drank some tea. Then headed off to to bed. Because, church in the morning.
and here's some more coffee. the last one I made before my mom text and said the septic was fixed and I could come home. OH THE JOY
Home again. <3
tea<3
And that's that! I didn't take as many pictures last month as I normally do, but you know. Life happens.
How was your February?
Plans for March? my plans are to try to live again. after all that craziness that life likes to throw at me. *winks*
